Featured Artist: Geno Lightfoot
Born and raised in Los Angeles, Ca. Talented and dedicated to say the least. “Early life led me to becoming, Choir Lead, Soccer F/LFB, Martial Artist & Track Star in the beginning”. He recalls the words of his 1st developmental vocal coach. “You Sing From Your Stomach, You Have Talent”. He took that knowledge and it stuck to him like glue. Singing at local talent shows and events to create a buzz, yet it wasn’t only his voice getting the attention.
His songwriting was very deep and provocative. “I was like 7, Franceyez. Writing and nobody even knew” he stated. He even was a dynamic character in Jr. High most say. In 83′ he became Co-founder & President of Break-Pop group “The Heartbreakers” In 1984 & 1985 he appeared in the famous breaking/pop-locking Motion Pictures’. “Bodyrock & Electric Boogaloo Breaking II. Leading to his 1st International deal that fell thru.

He was recognized for his dedicated service and uncanny skill to bring you joy in the toughest of times. People knew his voice was going to lead him to success as he still managed to perform at community events and promotions. As he later transitioned in 1991 he met another aspiring singer falsetto Dave Porter. “We were both just singing in the halls and voila” he adds. Writing a couple of ballads before Porter was on the move to the Greater DC area. Porter as well as singer/multi-instrumentalist Felton Pilate of Confunktion and many others encouraged Lightfoot to go solo and keep shining.
June 1992 Lightfoot’s music was featured on 106.1 KMEL Bay Area Home Jam Artists-DJ Choice. The title track “Look No Further For A Better Love” featuring Dave Porter was a success. Many stations later showed initial interest in Lightfoot’s soulful voice for the years to follow. “Many songs were recorded at studios recording round the clock, I had a nice sound, a CD to drop and tragedy happened, as one of the featured artists was shot multiple times”. Lightfoot realizing he didn’t have any direct non-violent messages the project was shelved.
